OIT held the 2020 graduation ceremony

        In response to the novel coronavirus pneumonia, Oriental Institute of Technology adjusted the way of graduation ceremony. It was conducted in the form of "graduation week" from June 9th to 19th. Besides planning a variety of graduation layout and exhibition, commemorative photos of the graduates and their families were also provided. The various academic groups and departments also held small-scale thematic activities, and in June 20th Chairman Douglas Hsu was invited to give a speech at the ceremony, he expected graduates to adjust their pace in response to the new global normal.

        This year, Oriental Institute of technology takes "cloud" as its graduation theme. It is hoped that after four years of solid professional courses and enterprise internship training, graduates can soar up into the sky with great ambition, and can bravely face the storm, follow their own interests and aspirations, and stride forward towards the goal of life!

        Chairman Douglas Hsu attended the speech and took covid-19 as an example to remind all graduates of the new normal. Many thoughts, behaviors must be rearranged and altered. The trend of "digitalization" and "mobility" is inevitable. Graduates should know how to reposition themselves and put forward good strategies. Only through constant inspection and patient efforts can they have a better future! Huang Maoquan, the principal, hoped all graduates to be a "trustworthy" and "respectful" fresh man after graduation, and actively improve themselves and increase competitiveness. In addition, Mr. Lin Guochun, senator of New Taipei City Council and Mr. Gao Shuxun, honorary chairman of the Alumni Association were invited to give wishes and encouragement to all graduates to "turn the impossible into possible" in the face of future work challenges, and take "seven points (filial piety, love, genuineness, sincerity, confidence, patience and attentiveness)" and the school motto "honesty, diligence, simplicity, prudence and innovation" as the original intention to integrate into the group, improve their majors, and strive to contribute to the people around them.

        Although many international exchanges and activities have been affected this year, it is undeniable that the OIT has made great progress in international invention competitions, off-campus / overseas internships, sports competitions and international exchange activities in recent years. All these prove that the efforts and achievements of teachers and students are obvious to all. Finally, the graduation ceremony was held in a warm atmosphere. It is hoped that all graduates can walk out of OIT in the spirit of "communication, cooperation, creativity and care" and make achievements in the future! Teachers' support and guidance was also appreciated, graduates and their families have left a good memory.
