Outstanding achievements of FET "big data + AI + IOT" and it was awarded "smart Taipei Innovation Award"

        FET has won the "2020 smart Taipei Innovation Award" of Taipei municipal government for promoting the "5G pilot project of Neihu smart Park" and "AI smart street lamp of Neihu smart Park" by making use of used 5G big data + AI + IOT. On March 19, Taipei Mayor of Taipei city, Ke Wenzhe, presented the award and Mr. Zeng Shiyuan, executive vice president of FET enterprise and international business group, attended the ceremony to receive the award.

        Zeng Shiyuan, executive vice president, said: "smart city construction is rapidly developing in various places. FET has spared no effort in innovation and application with 5G big data + AI + IOT technical expertise. It is a great honor that these two projects have been recognized. FET will continue to form alliances with top enterprise partners to assist the public sector in solving public safety and urban management issues and play a key role in promoting digital innovation and transformation to achieve smart governance through science and technology, and bring Taiwan into line with the international standards with the achievements of 5G smart city. "

        "5G pilot project of Neihu smart Park" is the first "5G open pilot field" jointly built by FET and the information bureau of Taipei municipal government, which helps to promote the upstream and downstream industrial chains to participate in the 5G pilot project; With the support of the National Communications Commission, the first "proof of business (POB)" has been introduced to assist enterprises in introducing business models in the experimental stage, so as to speed up the integration of industrial applications into the market. More than 100 enterprises have participated in the project. This 5G pilot field has also become a model for the county and municipal governments to build 5G smart city or emerging smart Park, bringing the momentum of scientific and technological innovation.

        Another AI smart street lamp in Neihu smart park uses FET’s NB-IoT communication networking and street lamp controller. Combined with AI platform and big data analysis of pedestrian flow, it can actively monitor energy consumption, control street lamp switch, adjust light brightness, own fault alarm mechanism and control street lamp status through remote scheduling, reduce power consumption and improve energy efficiency, provide better lighting and road environment for the people of Taipei Neihu Technology Park. This prospective experiment of AI smart street lamp not only verifies that smart street lamp can bring innovative and diversified application services, but also is the locomotive to drive the development of smart city and promote the vigorous development of smart street lamp fields in various counties and cities.

        FET has invested in the field of smart city and deep ploughing of local demands, including innovative applications such as smart street lamp, smart parking, smart traffic management, smart meters, environmental monitoring, remote diagnosis and treatment, smart charging, smart social housing, etc., which have been introduced by the central and local governments one after another. This time, the "2020 smart Taipei Innovation Award" is a reaffirmation of the fruitful achievements of FET in promoting smart city.
