Chairman Douglas Hsu’s Remarks on the 41st Founding Anniversary of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital

　 　The “41st year anniversary” indicates a brand new start to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital.  How to set its future direction is an important topic for the management team.  Given the limited hinterland of the hospital in Banqiao, we plan to establish the hospital’s Taoyuan branch at the old Far Eastern Textile plant.  It is interesting to learn that the site of Banqiao hospital was a manufacturing plant, that also once served as a golf course, then converted into a hospital.  After 40 years, the site of Taoyuan Far Eastern Memorial Hospital also follows a similar historical path to open a new page.

2022 Global and Taiwan Enterprise Sustainability Award
Far East Group won the first prize in Taiwan, and Chairman Xu Xudong was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award

　　On November 16, Chairman Xu Xudong of Far East Group won the "Enterprise Sustainable Lifelong Achievement Award" at the award ceremony of the "Global Corporate Sustainability Award (GCSA)" and the "Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award (TCSA)", which is the highest recognition given by the organizers after winning the "Enterprise Sustainable Outstanding Person Award" of TCSA in 2018 and the "Outstanding Person World Award" of GCSA in 2019, and commends Chairman Xu for his efforts to promote the enterprise sustainable project, Lead the Far East Group's business strategy to combine with all aspects of ESG to create sustainable exemplary value. In addition, Far East Group won 38 awards this year, ranking first in the whole Taiwan Group for the sixth consecutive year.

Certificate of Appreciation for Far East Group's Quality Public Service

　　Since its implementation in 2000, the Law on Promoting Private Participation in Public Construction (hereinafter referred to as the Law) has attracted more than NTD 900 billion of private investment in public construction, with more than 1500 contracts signed. Through the BOO and BOT mode, Far East Group has invested in the construction of expressway electronic toll collection system, the development of Banqiao Far East Communication Park, the construction and operation of Zhubei parking lot and other major transportation construction and public facilities investment, driving the local economic development, creating more employment opportunities, and also bringing better quality of life to the people. On November 14, the Ministry of Finance held the "Launching Ceremony for Promoting Participation in the New Era", and presented a letter of thanks to 22 private enterprises including Far East Group, praising their long-term investment in public construction and providing high-quality public services. Far East SOGO, Aimai and Yuanbai won the "National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award"

　　On November 15, the Environmental Protection Department of the Executive Yuan held the fourth "National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award" award ceremony.
