Asia Cement Corporation 2023 Annual General Meeting

　Asia Cement Corporation has held its Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on June 27th. Chairman of Asia Cement, Mr. Douglas Hsu has announced to its shareholders that, under the strategy of diversification of investment and profit, Asia Cement has earned a consolidated net profit after tax of NTD 12.597 Billion in 2022 and kept a record of earning annual profit of more than NTD 10 Billion for five consecutive years. Cash dividend distributable is NTD 2.3 per share which makes Asia Cement the leader among its peer in the industry in terms of dividend, price per share and profit. Asia Cement has a yielding rate of 5.2 % which is above the average of companies publicly listed in Taiwan. It has also created a record to distribute dividend every year for 61 years since it was publicly listed. It is also of great concern of the Company to emphasize on issues of environmental protection and energy conservation. Asia Cement has dedicated in implementation of ESG and elimination of carbon emission at large scale. The Company has continued increasing its investment in industries involve clean energy such natural gas and transformed cement industry into green industry.

Far Eastern New Century Corporation 2023 Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting

　Far Eastern New Century Corporation held its 2023 Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting on 28 June with Chairman Douglas Tong Hsu presiding. During the meeting, the management team reported the 2022 financial results of the Company’s three major business segments – production, property development and investments, and also directions for its future development. FENC achieved impressive growth in 2022, with consolidated revenue reaching a record high of NTD 263.9 billion (USD 8.8 billion), marking an 11% increase. The net income attributable to the Company’s shareholders stood at NTD 8.16 billion (USD 273.4 million), resulting in an earnings per share (EPS) of NTD 1.63 (US¢5.46). Moreover, the shareholders approved a cash dividend of NTD 1.35 per share (US¢4.52), reflecting a payout ratio of 4.0% based on June 27th’s closing stock price. Despite the global economy showing signs of slowdown, FENC’s consolidated revenue for the first quarter of this year reached NTD 61.5 billion (USD 2.0 billion), while the net income attributable to the Company’s shareholders amounted to NTD 1.46 billion (USD 48.0 million). Welcoming the second half of the year, the completion of the expansion of the new plant in Kansai, Japan, coupled with the continuous production of various strongholds, will drive the company's production capacity growth; In addition, the company's investment business is steadily growing, with potential for appreciation. The newly completed residential project in the key land development area of Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park is expected to bring huge profits. In the future, FENC will continue to combine sustainable development goals with operational growth strategies, and work together with value chain partners to create a green ecosystem.
