FET works with Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families to help disadvantaged children realize their dreams

        The project “protect the abandoned children and let love spread far” promoted by FET has marked its 14^th anniversary. This year, it is the first time to cooperate with Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families. On July 20, FET was invited to attend the press conference of "infinite generation" by the Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families, and worked with professional baseball player Ngayaw Ake, the spokesperson of "infinite generation" to appeal all walks of life to work together to help children eliminate poverty and realize their dreams.

        FET president Chee Ching said that this year's epidemic has had a great impact on all kinds of businesses and the life of all people. The pressure on the life of the disadvantaged families has increased significantly, not to mention the stable learning funds for the disadvantaged children and adolescents. As the global epidemic situation has not been improved, it is also difficult to raise funds this year. FET will join hands with Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families to raise funds for children and adolescents from October. By making use of FET’s excellent channel service advantages and core resources for information and communication applications, fund-raising and mobile phone voice donation have been conducted in nearly 800 cities in Taiwan, hoping to provide children and adolescents with sufficient learning resources in the process of growth. FET will also work with stakeholders such as clients, employees and suppliers to expand its social influence, which also echoes “No Poverty” “Good Health and Well-being” and “Quality Education” of UN’s sustainability development goals.

        He Suqiu, executive director of Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families, said that services of Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families have been provided throughout Taiwan and abroad, helping more than 360000 poor children to extricate themselves from poverty. Over the past 70 years of promoting child care work, they have been providing individualized and localized services to meet the needs of the disadvantaged children and families, and appropriately invest service resources, hoping to reserve the energy to eliminate poverty in the course of children's learning and growth.

        According to the latest survey on “learning resources of disadvantaged children” published by Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families, 69.6% of them are in need of help in study; more than 55.5% of them are generally short of learning resources, and 62.6% of them spend less than 500 yuan a month on school supplies. This year, with the slogan "you may feel powerless in the face of your own life, but you are absolutely capable in the face of the disadvantaged children" FET and Taiwanese Fund for Children and Families hope to help more than 50000 domestic children realize their dream of learning and help them have sufficient life and learning resources and build their own stage!
