The 30th Anniversary of Far Eastern International Bank Promotes ESG's Sustainable Reading

 Far Eastern International Bank celebrates its 30th anniversary. In response to the vision of the Financial Supervisory Commission to urge Taiwan to become a global ESG model student, 30 new ESG sustainable actions are specially planned. One of them, in cooperation with the World Magazine Education Foundation, calls on the colleagues of Far Eastern International Bank to learn ESG knowledge on the online platform of the World Innovation Institute. After completing 300 courses, Far Eastern International Bank will donate a sustainable book to the adopted outlying island primary school. Since the launch of the activity at the beginning of 2022, it has received enthusiastic support and participation from colleagues. As of July, it has broken through the reading record of 300000 courses and reached the goal of donating 300 sustainable books in advance. At present, all donated books have been sent to Penghu National Primary School for Internal and External Moneys and Taitung Green Island National Primary School.
The books donated by Far Eastern International Bank to outlying island primary schools this time are all taken from the world's first complete traditional Chinese perpetual book list set by the World Magazine Education Foundation. This book list is based on the 17 sustainability development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Each goal has books suitable for children aged 6 to 12 to read and understand, So as to take root in the concept of Sustainability Development.
In addition, the HR Head Office of Far Eastern International Bank has also planned ESG schools on the online platform of Tianxia Innovation Institute, selected 11 ESG units, called on all colleagues to challenge the task package, build sustainability development thinking, and integrate ESG into the organizational culture through a series of digital learning competitions. In the future, Far Eastern International Bank will continue to promote a number of ESG actions and work, including signing the Equator Principles, maintaining equal rights and friendly workplaces, and operating the enterprise sustainability committee.
