Far EasTone Telecommunications has been awarded the top 8% global climate change agreement management performance by CDP for three consecutive years

 The international authoritative carbon disclosure organization CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) evaluates the environmental performance of nearly 10000 companies worldwide. On March 15, it announced the 2022 Supplier Engagement Rating. Far EasTone Telecommunications ranks among the top 8% in terms of management performance in implementing climate change agreements with suppliers, making it the only telecommunications industry in Taiwan to rank among the "A-level leadership" companies in this category for three consecutive years, Clearly demonstrating the influence of Far EasTone Telecommunications, promoting suppliers and upstream and downstream partners to jointly reduce the risks caused by climate change, demonstrating an international leadership style.
 Chee Ching President stated that the world emits 51 billion tons of greenhouse gases annually, and the economic and social losses caused by climate change are becoming increasingly severe. It is necessary to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 to avoid serious climate disasters; Far EasTone Telecommunications not only starts from its own low-carbon operation, but also calls on suppliers to respond, taking "driving the environmentally friendly value chain" as the main axis, to jointly create a green circular business model, and move towards a sustainable vision of mutual prosperity and mutual benefit.
Far EasTone Telecommunications aims to become a benchmark for sustainable procurement in enterprises. In addition to the continuous increase in green procurement amounts in the past three years, it is also the first telecommunications industry in Taiwan to pass the verification of the "ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement Guidelines" collaborative vendor verification agency. It actively implements environmental sustainability management and promotes multiple sustainable actions, including the Recycled Economy Innovation Value Chain Workshop held in 2022 Initiate a supplier carbon inventory briefing to assist in supplier net zero transformation, with the goal of achieving a 16.2% reduction in supply chain carbon emissions by 2030 compared to 2021.
At the same time, in order to ensure supply chain resilience, Far EasTone Telecommunications has introduced long-term supplier ESG sustainable risk assessment and arranged on-site visits. If the standards are not met, assistance in coaching and improvement will be provided; Every year, 300 partners are invited to hold a supplier conference to promote sustainable new knowledge and recognition of excellent manufacturers. In the future, we will continue to handle and strive for more environmental or carbon reduction related standards at home and abroad.
