Love in Christmas Charity Market Yuan Ze University Promotes "Reduce Plastic, Cherish Food, Love the Earth"

        The annual "Love at Christmas Charity Market" at Yuan Ze University was grandly held from December 13th to 20th, witnessed by Principal Liao Qingrong, Liu Yuzhi, the Student Union, and representatives of street vendors. In addition to raising invoices through the "Christmas Gift Puncture Music Activity" and donating them to Ankang Qizhi Education and Nursing Home, the "Reduce Plastic Loves the Earth, Cherish Food and Love Endless" campaign was also launched, Inviting the founder of Tasteme Ye Baijun to share the importance of "reversing leftovers" on campus, urging everyone to reduce plastic and cherish food from their daily diet, and protect the earth.

        Market vendors and on campus businesses also responded to the event by posting "You reduce plastic and I offer discounts" signs, encouraging teachers and students to reduce their meals according to their needs or bring their own environmentally friendly utensils, and practicing the food conservation action of "actively speaking, choosing, packaging, eating extra, eating whole food, loving the earth, eating locally, cherishing ingredients, loving sharing and promoting".

        Principal Liao Qingrong expressed his delight that the Student Union has launched this plastic reduction and food conservation campaign, injecting sustainable energy into Yuan Ze University. This year, the school has also won the Taiwan Sustainable Action Award, the National Sustainability Development Award, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs Energy Conservation Benchmark Award. He hopes that all teachers and students in the school will continue to improve sustainable governance from all aspects and fulfill their social responsibilities.
