Far Eastern Group won 6 awards at the 6th National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award

        The 6th National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award, the highest environmental honor award, was held on September 6th. Affiliated enterprises under Far Eastern Group, including Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Far Eastern Department Stores, Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan), Everest Textile, FE SOGO Department stores, and Yuan Ze University, won a total of 6 awards, achieving remarkable results.

        FE SOGO Department stores showcase their green influence through diverse and leading sustainable practices. Not only does their climate governance performance align with international standards, but their energy, electricity, and water efficiency are also superior to their peers. Over the years, they have won 200 sustainable awards both domestically and internationally, and this time they have won the "Silver Award", creating the only six consecutive victories in the hundred goods industry.

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation's chemical fiber plant and Everest Textile are committed to circular sustainability and net zero emissions, and have both won the "Bronze Award". Among them, the excellent energy-saving and carbon reduction performance of the chemical fiber factory has made it the only manufacturer in the plastic recycling industry to receive this honor; Everest Textile promotes environmental protection measures from processes, management, and other aspects, and was recognized for its first participation, demonstrating the results of sustainable cultivation of the environment.

        In terms of public welfare, Yuan Ze University has constructed a sustainable campus life, established an electric energy storage system, actively promoted energy transformation, and held competitions to enhance the understanding of campus ecology among teachers and students. It has also won the "Bronze Award".

        In addition, Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) Kuanyin Plant 2 and Far Eastern Department Stores Hualien Heping Store have implemented multiple energy-saving improvement measures and received recognition for their respective "finalist awards". Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) Kuanyin Plant 2 has established a smart factory and is committed to maintaining the ecology based on the principles of "compliance with regulations, pollution prevention, continuous improvement, and environmental protection"; Far Eastern Department Stores Hualien Heping Store continues to promote energy-saving and power-saving measures, increasing its green procurement amount year by year, and continues to organize environmental public welfare activities such as donating old clothes, beach cleaning, and community street sweeping, setting a good example.
