Far EasTone Telecommunication gathers the energy of remote diagnosis and treatment achievements to promote emergency care at home

        In view of the increasing demand for elderly care in Taiwan, Far EasTone Telecommunications, in conjunction with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, will cooperate with the government's "Home Emergency Care Pilot Program" from July 1st to provide emergency treatment at home or in care institutions for eligible patients. Both parties have launched an integrated healthcare solution by combining a 5G remote diagnosis and treatment platform, IoT physiological measurement equipment, and Far EasTone Telecommunication "Health+" App. The platform has obtained multiple ISO security certifications and US HIPAA certifications to ensure medical privacy.

        In addition, Far EasTone Telecommunication has also built a "5G ambulance" for the Lianjiang County Fire Department across the sea, and donated the 5G remote diagnosis and treatment platform, software and hardware equipment, and services loaded on the ambulance to Lianjiang County on September 6, upgrading the quality of local emergency rescue. This is an example of once again joining hands with the Taipei City Government Fire Department to establish a "5G Cross Sea Emergency Medical Joint Defense" mechanism after Penghu County. On September 12th, I was invited to attend the "Dialogue Forum on Home Emergency Care Policies and Practices" organized by the National Health Insurance Department to share the achievements of remote diagnosis and treatment with the audience.

        Hu Demin, Executive Vice President of the Information and Digital Transformation Technology Group, stated that Far EasTone Telecommunication is deeply rooted in the field of smart healthcare and has independently developed a "5G remote diagnosis and treatment platform". From serving rural areas such as outlying islands and emergency rescue, it has now entered the home community and long-term care fields, with complete practical application experience. It not only shortens the gap between urban and rural medical care, but also helps elderly and mobility impaired people improve medical accessibility.
