Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G Private Network Helps Far Eastern New Century Corporation Build '5G Intelligent Industrial Remote Security Application'

 Far EasTone Telecommunication teamed up with Far Eastern New Century Corporation to participate in the "P5G Innovators Results Presentation" on September 27th, showcasing their jointly developed "5G Intelligent Industrial Remote Security Application". The Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G enterprise private network, combined with mobile "AI imaging vehicles" and "smart safety helmets", enables remote supervision, improves the efficiency of contracted operations, and reduces work safety risks. At the same time, it is equipped with an industrial grade visual application platform, integrates AI visual recognition models, and brings new opportunities for factory intelligence.
Far EasTone Telecommunication has partnered with Far Eastern New Century Corporation to introduce the "5G Intelligent Industrial Remote Security Application" at Hsinchu Xinpu Chemical Fiber Plant and Taoyuan Kuanyin Chemical Fiber Plant. By replacing manual supervision with a mobile "AI imaging vehicle," Far EasTone Telecommunication addresses the shortcomings of fixed closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitors. Combined with Far EasTone Telecommunication's 5G enterprise private network, high-definition images are transmitted in real-time for image monitoring and AI assisted image recognition, including safety equipment detection, electronic fences, hot work operations, crowd counting, and personnel abnormalities (such as falling to the ground). Once violations or abnormalities are discovered, the system will proactively report an alarm, and the management unit can communicate with the site in real-time to avoid dangerous behavior and work safety accidents.
Both parties will collaborate to develop an innovative 'smart safety helmet' that integrates environmental and heart rate sensing, edge computing devices, communication and warning devices, live streaming cameras, and other functions. Operators or contractors wearing safety helmets can use Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G to instantly transmit environmental data and personnel physical conditions. In case of abnormalities, voice conversations can be conducted immediately. In addition, on-site monitoring can be conducted through the camera, and manual photography can be used to record audit items and transmit them to the system. The 'smart safety helmet' can be widely used in various scenarios, including inspection operations, real-time monitoring, positioning records, etc., to enhance work safety and improve record keeping.
