Far Eastern Memorial Hospital held its 43rd anniversary celebration on September 18th, and specially invited units such as the New Taipei Police Department and Fire Department to jointly organize a blood donation event, raising a total of 20000 cc of blood.
In view of the fact that heart disease ranks second in Taiwan's top ten causes of death, second only to malignant tumors, and the high incidence rate in autumn and winter, a special health education activity of "Heart Care, Health Residency" was held on October 1, inviting Section Chief from the Community Health Development Center, Dr. Zhuang Wenbo from the Cardiovascular Medicine Department, and Dr. Zeng Bingxian from the Heart Failure Center to explain atrial fibrillation (AF) and thyroxin protein starch deposition cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) to help people understand potential health threats; Dr. Chiu, the Dean of Kuanming, also urged the public to have a regular sleep schedule, a balanced diet, and stay away from smoking and alcohol.
