Increasing on-the-job training subsidies to help you upgrade your competitiveness in the workplace

        The Ministry of Labor Development Agency continues to promote the "Industrial Talent Investment Program" this year, partnering with high-quality training institutions across Taiwan to offer diverse practical oriented courses, helping working workers strengthen their professional skills and competitiveness in the workplace in their spare time. In order to stimulate the willingness of working workers to learn independently, students who successfully register and complete the training will receive 80% or 100% of the training cost subsidy. Starting from 2025, the total subsidy amount will be increased from NTD 70000 per person within 3 years to NTD 100000!                 The Ministry of Labor has a strict selection mechanism for training units that can participate in the "Industrial Talent Investment Program", including: holding a valid certificate evaluated by the Talent Development Quality Management System (TTQS) of the Labor Development Agency, having full-time personnel to handle training, and being a college approved by the Ministry of Education, or a vocational training institution, industrial group, commercial group, farmer's group, fisherman's group, research institution or foundation legal person established in accordance with the law for more than two years, to ensure that the unit has sufficient resources to offer diverse courses that can assist workers in strengthening their professional abilities and adapting to workplace needs.

        The training period of this program is divided into the first half of the year (starting from January 1st to June 30th) and the second half of the year (starting from July 1st to December 31st). The courses for the first half of 2025 have been announced on the "Taiwan Employment Network", with a total of over 3000 classes, covering training categories such as international communication skills, digital skills, research and innovation skills, professional technology, and management courses. The training hours for each class range from 16 to 144 hours, and the teaching period does not exceed 4 months. The following is a brief introduction to the reorganization subsidy recipients, subsidy methods, and registration procedures.

        1、 Subsidy recipients

        Employed workers aged 15 or above who are insured under employment insurance, labor insurance, occupational hazard insurance, or farmer health insurance, and meet one of the following qualifications:

        1. Possess one's own nationality.

        2. Foreigners, mainland people, Hong Kong residents or Macao residents who have married citizens with registered residence in Taiwan and are allowed to stay and work.

        3. Those who have obtained residence status in accordance with the Immigration and Immigration Law without registered residence registration and have obtained work permits in accordance with the Employment Service Law.

        4. Victims of transnational human trafficking who have obtained work permits.

        2、 Subsidy method

        Students are required to pay 50% or 100% of the training fee according to the course fee standards set by each training unit. After passing the training, completing the participant opinion survey, and confirming that the absence time does not exceed 20% of the total training hours, the training unit will assist in applying for subsidies.

        1. General status students: After passing the training, 80% of the training expenses will be subsidized.

        2. Full subsidy target students: After passing the training and attaching relevant certification documents, 100% of the training fees will be subsidized. (The full subsidy targets include: low-income or low - to middle-income households with work ability, indigenous people, people with disabilities, middle-aged and elderly people, people over 65 years old, those who bear the household expenses alone, victims of domestic violence, rehabilitated protected persons, etc.)

        3、 Registration method

        1. All courses in this program are registered online. You need to first register as a member on the "Taiwan Employment Pass" website, and then register online on the "On the Job Training Network".

        2. In principle, online registration is open 30 days before the start of the course, and the selection process will review the eligibility of students in order of the completion time of registration.

        ※ Note: Those who receive government training funding subsidies during pre employment training for unemployed individuals are not eligible to apply for this program subsidy at the same time, except for those who experience involuntary unemployment during the training courses of this program.
