2025 Taiwan India Smart Healthcare Forum Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Leads Taiwan India AI Development to a New Mileage

        On November 5th, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital and the Association of Private Hospitals in Indonesia (ARRSI) jointly held the "2025 Taiwan India Smart Healthcare Forum: Smart Hospitals and Future Development" in Jakarta, focusing on how to use AI technology and smart hospital management to improve patient service and hospital operation efficiency, accelerate the implementation of medical intelligence, showcase Taiwan's medical technology innovation energy and Indonesia's medical digital transformation achievements, and also an important milestone in promoting smart healthcare cooperation between Taiwan and India.

        The forum invited Minister Setiaji of the Digital Transformation Department of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Widaja President of the Mandaya Hospital Group, Zhuang Yaoyu, Vice President of the Industrial Technology Research Institute and Director of the Biomedical and Medical Materials R&D Center, as well as Section Chief Guo Guanhong of the Digital Development Department of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, to deeply explore the development trends of smart healthcare from the perspectives of policy, industry, and clinical practice. Ambassador Hong Zhenrong of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia and the Minister of Digital Transformation of the Indonesian Ministry of Health both visited the scene, demonstrating the high importance and support of Taiwan and India for medical cooperation.

        The demand for healthcare in Indonesia continues to expand, with approximately 70 new hospitals added each year. Patient satisfaction has become one of the key factors for hospital success. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the medical field has also ushered in new application opportunities. Director Zhuang Yaoyu stated that artificial intelligence has shown significant benefits in Taiwan's medical operations, effectively reducing operating costs and improving healthcare efficiency. He cited the example of the voice AI application in collaboration between Industrial Technology Research Institute and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, which can automatically generate medical record summaries and assist healthcare workers in saving administrative time.

        Guo Guanhong, Section Chief of the Digital Development Department at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, also shared the application results of image AI interpretation, explaining the current status and effectiveness of AI technology in image analysis such as chest X-ray, abdominal X-ray, and computed tomography, and further introducing the future clinical application of AI and the direction of medical AI promotion. This event also invites Taiwan's smart healthcare enterprise, Shangzhiqi Company, and Advantech to share their valuable experience in promoting the digitization of healthcare in Taiwan.
