Far Eastern Memorial Hospital launched home
service plan
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its founding, far
eastern group promotes social welfare activities in the spirit of
caring and giving back to Taiwan society. Among them, the "love. Long
term care, accompany zero distance" home service plan extends hospital
medical services to communities and homes to supplement the lack of
long term care resources.
From July 2019 to December 2020, Far
Eastern Memorial Hospital will provide 7500 hours of free home care
services. The service objects include: those who do not accept
institutional placement, do not employ foreign carers and are low
(middle) income families, poor families with physical disabilities,
those who are near poor families without government care allowance,
those who need to take care of an 80 year old or a child under 6 years
old or a child with moderate or above physical disabilities, those who
live alone or have only 18-year-old high school students in their
home, who are unable to assist in caring, mainly The carer takes care
of the family for the aged over 70 years old. After assessment,
patients with real needs for home-based services will be provided free
of charge for 50-90 hours per month according to the degree of
