SOGO Creates "Beauty" to Reward Young Model to the Presidential Palace

        Pacific SOGO Department Store has devoted a long time to children's care. This year, three school children who were SO GOOD adolescent model won the President's Educational Award in 2019 again. Sophia C.W. Huang, Chairman of Pacific SOGO Department Store and SOGO New Life Foundation, specially dressed up for school children, expecting to convey the self-confidence of young models through "beauty" and to advance to the presidential palace to receive awards.
Since the "SO GOOD Adolescent Model Selection and Praise" was held for 8 sessions, it has been the only model selection activity for the disadvantaged children in Taiwan Department Store. It has awarded 242 school children, given birth to 23 President's Educational Awards, invited 37 celebrities to cheer up the students, and awarded scholarship of 2.88 million yuan. SOGO has long built popular channels into public welfare platforms, expecting dialogue between the two ends of the M-shaped world, so that the models of adversity can be seen and encouraged, thus moving more people, and driving society to be positive together.
Chairman Sophia C.W. Huang said that the most anticipated thing for every summer vacation is to invite the young models who won the Presidential Educational Award back to SOGO for dinner, chat about the development of the past year, and personally select clothes for them, hoping that the beautiful power with brand characteristics and fashion flavor can create "beauty" for the young model and showing their struggle and self-confidence to advance to the presidential palace to receive the award.
The SO GOOD Adolescent Model Selection and Praise campaign was awarded the Social Welfare Development Award of Asian Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards by the Asian Chamber of Commerce and Enterprises, and the SROI was also carried out. The benefit of the evaluation was 10.18. That is to say, every cost of 1 yuan can create a positive influence of 10.18 yuan for stakeholders.
The role models of young people who won the Presidential Education Award this year are as follows:
(1) Xie Yishan (Taipei), the sixth adolescent model, looks like Zhang Junya, always smiling and optimistic despite her poor family.
(2) Chen Qianyu (Kaohsiung), the seventh adolescent model, studies in The Affiliated School for Students with Hearing Impairments of National University of Tainan, doesn’t give up any learning opportunities despite hearing impairment.
(3) Zhang Biaoqi (Changhua), the eighth youth model, suffered from Epidermolysis Bullosa, even if there is no complete skin on the body, he is still happy to learn.
Chairman Sophia C.W. Huang is delighted to say that the three teenagers who won the Presidential Educational Award this year are from different sessions. It shows that "SO GOOD Adolescent Model Selection and Praise" can really lead children to be positive, enhance the self-confidence of the disadvantaged children, and help them develop positively in the future study.
