FET called on more than 100 suppliers to jointly promote corporate sustainability development

        FET held the 2020 Supplier Exchange Conference on October 29, which was personally presided over by President Chee Ching. With "Protect the earth, let love spread" as the main axis, more than 100 suppliers were called on to join in promoting sustainability development. Meanwhile, the outstanding suppliers were announced and awarded awards. This year FET also works with upstream and downstream suppliers to form a "sustainability vanguard" which includes six mobile phone manufactures ASUS, OPPO, SAMSUNG, SONY, HUAWEI, HTC, as well as 26 suppliers such as Weisheng Engineering, Guofeng Engineering, Maxidea, Chuanzhi, Ericsson Taiwan, Nokia Telecom, HPI Corporation, Interactive Digital Technologies.Inc, Tai Tung Communication Co.,Ltd, speedlink, Baizhao Technologies, Beautiful Card Corporation, Dunyoung, Junkai Technologies, Bocai Technologies, Tangcheng Technologies, HwaCom Systems Inc. World Tend Co., Ltd, United Telecom and EA-HWA Enterprise Industrial Co.,Ltd. Each company improves the living environment and educational resources and expands social influence for the disadvantaged groups and schools in rural areas with their core specialty.

        FET President Chee Ching said that in order to meet the United Nations’ sustainability development goals, FET has developed five "sustainability": go prosperous, go innovative, go carrying, go inclusive and go eco to focus on environmental, social and economic issues with concrete actions, established the "sustainable strategy blueprint for 2018-2025", combined the sustainable strategy with enterprise operation, set clear medium and long-term goals, and pursued sustainable growth. At the same time, as one of the leading brands of information and communication and the benchmark of sustainable enterprises, FET is constantly pursuing innovation and breakthrough. In the new era of 5G, FET will good use of the core expertise of the enterprise, continuously develop the innovative application of 5G and exert industrial influence.

          In order to implement the supply chain management policy, this year, we conducted a third-party supplier sustainability assessment with Deloitte, a sustainable supply chain expert. Referring to the relevant international standards of supply chain sustainability management, a supplier sustainability self-assessment questionnaire was designed on 19 topics from five aspects: Sustainability governance, supplier management, environmental management, labor rights and interests, and society for them to make self-assessment. A total of 303 manufacturers conducted sustainability assessment based on self-assessment questionnaire. Three suppliers with excellent performance and three suppliers with significant progress were selected. The excellent manufacturers were invited to provide experience sharing and strengthen the collaborative partnership with partners.

        To expand the influence of FEG at the ESG level, enhance the diversity of the supply chain and continue to promote the sustainable management of the supply chain. Suppliers were invited to fill in the "Declaration of supplier's corporate social responsibility". In 2019, 336 new suppliers signed the "Declaration of supplier's corporate social responsibility" with the rate reached 100%. As much as 98% of the top 100 suppliers signed the "Declaration of supplier's corporate social responsibility", which accounted for 91% of the total amount of procurement. FET also shared more ESG practices and training through the online learning platform, providing the most convenient communication channel for suppliers, improving each other's operation efficiency, and working together to expand and promote corporate social responsibility.
