Yuan Ze University and R20 Hold the Forum on Sustainable Climate Change

        In order to encourage all sectors to pay attention to the sustainable issues of climate change, Yuan Ze University and the R20 Regional Organization for Climate Action jointly held the R20xYZU Summit Forum on Sustainable Issues of Climate Change on October 11.                 Liao Qingrong, President of Yuan Ze University, said that Yuan Ze University not only became the first university in the world to pass the international certification of ISO50001 energy management system in 2011, but also actively created, stored and saved energy. In the energy generation part, each building is equipped with solar panels; In terms of energy conservation, the outdoor stadium lamps were replaced by recyclable lamps, leading the whole campus to save considerable electricity; In the energy storage part, we use the off peak period to store electric energy. In addition, Yuan Ze University has also set up courses to correspond to the 17 sustainability development goals of the United Nations, adopted Kuanyin and Zhongli Industrial Zone, and offered coaching courses to help manufacturers obtain international sustainability development certification, creating a better future for the next generation.

        The forum also planned two issues, "Net Zero Transformation and Net Zero Business Opportunities" and "ESG and Citizenship". The former focuses on sharing how domestic enterprises can successfully transform, especially on the zero carbon issue. The latter focuses on encouraging young people to attach importance to and understand ESG's obligations as a global citizen. In addition to being in line with international standards, it is also necessary to improve ESG's citizenship.

        The forum provided participants with the first batch of participation certificates jointly issued by R20 Climate Action Regional Organization, R20 Green Women's Foundation and Yuan Ze University, and invited participants to sign the proposal. The forum also exhibited the sustainable achievements of enterprises.
