Travel Changhua

        In addition to being a traditional agricultural county in central Taiwan, Changhua is also an important intersection of mountains and seas in the central Taiwan railway.         Changhua City is famous for the "Bagua Mountain Giant Buddha" scenic spot. It is the administrative, cultural and transportation center of Changhua County. In recent years, every year at the end of the year, "Creative Lantern Walking on the Street Fashion Contest" is held. Every year, thousands of citizens form teams to participate in the celebration of Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) in various scenic spots and temples in the city! Around Bagua Mountain is also the "2023 Moon Shadow Lantern Season". Walking in the light scene at night has a unique style. It is worth mentioning that Changhua City plays an important role in the railway network in Taiwan. In addition to unblocking railway transportation, there is also the only 100-year-old fan car garage in Taiwan and the only one in Asia. The DT-668 steam train of the "King of Steam Train" is preserved, which is worthy of pilgrimage by railway fans.

        When it comes to food representing Changhua City, nothing is better than "Taiwanese Meatballs" and "meatloaf". In particular, Changhua people's love for meatloaf is just like that of Tainan people for beef soup. There are famous stalls and small shops everywhere in the city, each with its own supporters. What's more, there are stores operating almost 24 hours a day, allowing consumers to eat from breakfast to lunch, midnight, and even early in the morning. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that Changhua City is "the city of meatloaf".

        After watching the arts and cultural activities, enjoying the street celebration, and having enough to eat and drink, there are still many classic hand gifts in Changhua City, such as the Buerfang Egg Yolk Crisp that must be snatched every New Year's Day, the Dayuan Mochi with salty and sweet taste, and the radish crisp, which can't be missed.
