Far EasTone Telecommunications collaborates with INFROMATION Security Service Digital United and Tamkang University to launch the 'New Information Security Curriculum'

        On May 12th, Far EasTone Telecommunications announced the launch of the "New Information Security Curriculum" in collaboration with INFROMATION Security Service Digital United and Tamkang University. With the rich experience of Far EasTone Telecommunications in assisting enterprises in digital transformation, coupled with the leading technology of INFROMATION Security Service Digital United, we will jointly plan courses and provide teachers at the senior security level The cloud based Zi'an laboratory has resources such as practical operation, and combined with the enterprise internship plan, it is expected to cultivate hundreds of Zi'an talents within three years. This time, after a strategic alliance last year, Far EasTone Telecommunications and Tamkang have further deepened their collaboration between industry and school, expanding from 5G and net zero to the field of asset security.

        The global application of digital technology is booming, and the threat to information security is also intensifying. Under the influence of the policy of 'Zi'an is Guo'an 2.0', the demand for Zi'an talents in various industries in Taiwan has significantly increased. The 'New Information Security Curriculum' is tailored for Tamkang students and will start classes in the Information Management Department in the second half of 2023, open to third grade students to apply. I have been studying for a total of two years. In the first year, I focused on the fundamentals of asset security practices and enterprise practical applications. I was taught by Mr. Zhu Jianguo, Director of Asset Security at Far EasTone Telecommunications, and a team of professional consultants from INFROMATION Security Service Digital United. The content includes: understanding of asset security standards and regulations, network security, system security, emerging technology security, and asset security testing, and was accompanied by professional lectures by practitioners. Far EasTone Telecommunications will collaborate with InFreedom Security Service Digital United to establish a cloud based security laboratory on campus, using the latest Microsoft Azure related technologies. They will lead students to practice social engineering emails, operating system vulnerability scanning, and website vulnerability scanning. The second year is a credit internship for enterprises, and students are arranged to participate in enterprise security defense work. After graduation, priority interviews can be given to increase employment opportunities.

        Hu Demin, Executive Vice President of the Information and Digital Transformation Technology Group and also an alumnus of Tamkang University, pointed out that the current industry has an urgent demand for Zi'an talents, and students are also looking forward to grasping the employment hotspots. The opening of the new generation Zi'an program has its indicative significance. In addition to responding to the Ministry of Education Higher Education Deepening Program and emphasizing campus information security, we also inject practical experience from the industry and research capabilities of Zi'an New Technology into the campus.
