        On May 27th, Yuan Ze University held its 2023 graduation ceremony in front of the Five Pavilions Square. This year's theme was "Sailing", symbolizing that every young student's original intention will become a beacon, guiding them to prepare to sail under the dazzling Milky Way. In addition to inviting Douglas Hsu, the board of directors of the university, and Chang San-cheng, the mayor of Taoyuan City, to deliver speeches in person, Wu Jiade, an outstanding alumnus of the School of Management and President of Weihe International Catering, was also invited to attend this year to share life experience and inspiration with graduates.

                Douglas Hsu encourages students to have world-class ideas in the current era of internationalization, and they must work harder and harder. Yuan Ze University is moving towards the goal of becoming the most international university. In addition to expanding the enrollment of foreign students, it is also important to create an international friendly environment. Finally, we remind graduates to thank their families and teachers.

        During his speech, President Liao Qingrong stated that Yuan Ze University is a high-quality university that cultivates graduates with a spirit of excellence, pragmatism, macro integration, and is widely recognized by the business and academic communities. He hopes that graduates will continue to inherit the spirit of Yuan Ze University, carry it forward, and adhere to the principles of "honesty and responsibility", "keeping promises", "full effort", and "stability and reliability" to become reliable individuals.

        Speaker Wu Jiade shares three things with graduates. Firstly, scores and rankings are temporary, and pursuing a compassionate and kind life will lead to a happier and happier life. Secondly, going out of society is the beginning of learning. To find a field of passion and invest, the results will be twice the result with half the effort. Thirdly, drive the world with passion and help others with connections. I hope that after graduation, everyone will always have a grateful heart and give back to their alma mater, becoming a happy and wise alumnus.

        It is worth mentioning that Wu Jinqing, a 71 year old graduate of the EMBA program at the School of Management this year, entered Yuan Ze University with the same educational background. He stated that it has been 50 years since he last studied at school. During the current epidemic, he attended classes through video conferencing, and his classmates had a wide range of ages and majors. Through mutual communication, he gained a lot of knowledge. The professors are also very diligent in guiding their students, and even if the absorption ability of older students is not as good as that of younger students, they still have patience to explain.

        This year, Wang Chenwei, the English Bachelor's Class and President of the Graduate Union of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, expressing their aspirations and expectations in both Chinese and English, and showcasing the achievements of bilingual teaching and talent cultivation in the school. Adhering to the tradition of Yuan Ze University, graduates sing their own song "Chasing Until Graduation" in the form of rap, presenting campus life and learning experiences. The lyrics are filled with strong pure emotions and beautiful memories.

        Unlike in the past, the school has arranged for graduates to take photos with the principal in their graduation uniforms this year, and is also prepared to pass on the blessings of their teachers; And install check-in walls on both sides of the new campus attraction "YZU" in front of the Five Halls, allowing graduates to take photos and record beautiful moments together. At the end of the ceremony, a traditional highlight - the fireworks show - was staged, allowing the colorful fireworks in the night sky to light up the most beautiful Milky Way night sky for graduates. Every student was encouraged to follow the direction guided by the lighthouse and shine in various industries!
