Far EasTone Telecommunications actively promotes low-carbon operations and wins the BSI Sustainable Resilience ESG Practice Award

        Far EasTone Telecommunications has been committed to climate change and energy conservation and carbon reduction issues for a long time, promoting low-carbon operations through core technologies in the telecommunications industry, setting environmental policies and management systems in line with international standards, and leveraging its corporate influence. On December 19th, it once again won recognition and was awarded the BSI (British Standards Institute) "2023 Sustainable Resilience ESG Practice Award", making it the only telecommunications industry winner of this year.

        Far EasTone Telecommunications joined RE100 in 2023, taking the lead in achieving the short-term goal of reducing net zero through SBTi scenario science. It promises to achieve net zero by 2048, demonstrating its ambition for a sustainable environment, and has successively obtained multiple ISO international standard verifications, in line with the SDGs United Nations Sustainability Development goals.

        In 2022, "Earth is More Sustainable" will be added to the existing vision of "Living with Far EasTone Telecommunications, Communication Without Distance, and Life is More Rich", and various environmentally friendly activities will be promoted to establish a solid environmental energy system. The ISO50001 energy management system was introduced earlier in 2012, the ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory operation began in 2016, the company level Environmental Energy Committee was established in 2017, and the ISO14001 environmental management system was introduced. In August 2023, the ISO46001 water resource management system was successfully introduced, hoping to maximize the benefits of every drop of water.

        Far EasTone Telecommunications has outstanding environmental sustainability performance and was recognized by ESG evaluation institutions both domestically and internationally in 2023. In December, it was selected as DJSI DJSI World with the highest score in the global telecommunications industry; We have also won the National Sustainability Development Award and the TCSA Top Ten Sustainable Model Enterprises Award. In the future, we will continue to make good use of core technologies to promote sustainability and practice corporate social responsibility.

        BSI (British Standards Institute) is a leading organization that formulates global standards. Since 2003, it has held an annual International Standards Management Conference in Taiwan to recognize outstanding business organizations in sustainable management.
