Far Eastern Memorial Hospital holds 45th anniversary celebration seminar

        On the occasion of its 45th anniversary, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital held a "45th Anniversary Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Celebration Seminar" on September 19th, with the theme of "Healthy Taiwan: Future Development of Smart and Resilient Medicine". Experts from government, medical, academic research, and the biomedical industry were invited to focus on topics such as smart medicine, precision medicine, medical resilience, and sustainability development, and jointly explore the future development of healthcare in Taiwan.

        45 years of deep cultivation in medical intelligence, resilience, and sustainability

        Far Eastern Memorial Hospital is based in Banqiao and has been deepening clinical medicine, teaching research, and talent cultivation for 45 years with the support of Far Eastern Group Far Eastern Medical Foundation. In 2026, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital marks its 20th anniversary as a medical center. Faced with challenges such as aging population, shortage of medical personnel, and rapid technological development, the hospital continues to develop smart healthcare, medical resilience, and low-carbon healthcare, integrating innovative technology and sustainable concepts into medical services and hospital governance. At the same time, in recognition of the long-term dedication of our colleagues, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital distributed the "Smart Action Award" on the day of the hospital anniversary ceremony, with NTD 45000 per colleague.         Four major forums focus on smart, precise, and sustainable healthcare

        This seminar plans four major forums, including the "Sustainable Forum: Healthy Taiwan" which focuses on the vision of health policies and the financial and operational sustainability of medical institutions; The "Smart Healthcare Decision System" explores the transformation of medical data into clinical decision-making value, while balancing data governance and information security; Precision medicine focuses on artificial intelligence assisted diagnosis, multibody medicine, and biomedical Big Data; From the epidemic to sustainability "starts from the experience of epidemic response and extends to resource allocation, digital transformation, and medical resilience.

        The speakers at the conference covered various fields such as government, healthcare, academia, and research, including Director Shen Jingfen of the Bureau of Health Promotion, Director Chen Liangyu of the Central Health Insurance Agency, Director Luo Yijun of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, etc. They shared their views on topics such as health policy, health insurance, epidemic prevention, medical information, artificial intelligence, and biomedical Big Data. Dr. Chiu, the Dean of Kuanming, has planned the "Excellent Practice Symposium on Financial and Operational Sustainability", inviting Dean level leaders from medical systems such as Chang Gung Group, Chi Mei, and Cathay Pacific to exchange practical experiences in hospital governance, financial operations, and resource allocation, and explore how medical institutions can achieve a balance between medical quality, operational development, and environmental sustainability.
