Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology 2024 ITEX won 2 special awards, 5 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals

        Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology collaborates with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Far EasTone Telecommunication As well as high and secondary vocational schools such as New Taipei High School, Luo Dong High School of Commerce, and Overseas Chinese High School, they participated in the 35th Malaysia International Invention Exhibition (ITEX) from May 16th to 18th, 2024. Through technological exchange and joint research, they built a learning chain for technical colleges, enhanced students' technological and innovative abilities, and stood out in the high-tech field. They won 1 Hong Kong Special Award, 1 Thailand Special Award, and achieved excellent results in 5 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

        Among them, Professor Lai Jinlun from the Department of Communication Engineering led students Li Zhengying, Lin Tingjun, Liu Jianliang, Xiao Youlun, and Gao You to develop a virtual reality training system and its training methods, which improved the content and methods of existing battlefield skill training, enabling soldiers to obtain flexible and customized training content, enhance their adaptability and combat effectiveness on the battlefield, and won the Thailand Special Award and Gold Medal. The work "Power Feedback Simulation Operating System and Power Feedback Module", which won the Hong Kong Special Award, was jointly developed by Professor Lai Jinlun, New Taipei Senior Engineer Deng Liming, and Professor Li Jinzhu, led by Liu Jianliang, Xiao Youlun, Gao You, Liu Zhizhi, Wu Bojun, and other students. Combined with virtual collaborators, artificial intelligence technology was used to assist experts in solving difficulties in remote collaborative operations in real-time.

        As for the "Internet of Things (IoT) Smart Capsule Coffee Machine", it was developed by Professor Chen Pengwen from the Department of Information Management, students Chen Yian and Qiu Zhiqian, in collaboration with Luo Dong High School Business Professor Zhu Yinglin, Lin Weilun, Lin Zhenghong, Chen Shiyou, Yu Zhelun, Lin Fanwei, and Li Xunhao. Through the coffee exploration mechanism, users can obtain personalized coffee formulas and store them in the QR code of coffee capsules to provide innovative solutions for smart homes, winning a gold medal.

        Professor Zeng Tenghui and Professor Chen Junhong from the Department of Communication Engineering, as well as Professor Lian Youqian from Overseas Chinese High School, led students Zhang Yuxiang, Huang Jiayun, Shen Fengshun, Hou Yuanjie, and Yi Yizhi to develop the "Rehabilitation Game System and Gameplay Balance Method", which provides a new type of desktop electronic interactive game system that can effectively activate the mental response of silver haired people and reduce the risk of dementia, and won the silver medal.

        In addition, Professor Xu Changhong from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology, Xiao Shuishu, the team leader of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, and Wang Zongren, the R&D manager of Far EasTone Telecommunications, led by students Wu Cheng'en, Lin Yusheng, Xie Qigeng, etc., have also won a silver medal for demonstrating the perfect combination of medical and communication technology in their work "5G communication hybrid reality MR for foldable electric vehicles performing disinfection and sterilization functions in hospitals".
