Far Eastern Group wins four awards at the 2024 Taipei Zero Carbon Benchmark Awards

        On September 30th, the Taipei City Government held the "2024 Taipei City Zero Carbon Benchmark Award" ceremony. Far Eastern Group affiliated enterprise won 4 awards in the "Industrial and Commercial Industry Group A", including: New Century InfoComm Tech won 1 "Model Award"; Far Eastern Department Stores Xinyi A13, FE SOGO Department Stores Tianmu Store, and Yuan Ding (Ya Tung Department Store Building) each received one "Incentive Award", demonstrating that each company's commitment to environmental sustainability is highly recognized.

        Among them, Far Eastern Department Stores Xinyi A13 has passed multiple evaluations and tests, and has been selected as a "carbon reduction benchmark" unit for its outstanding performance in "energy management control system", "rationalization of ice water host operation mode", "adoption of renewable energy - solar power generation", and "water-saving measures - setting up rainwater and reclaimed water recycling". Yuan Ding actively implements the concept of "energy conservation, carbon reduction, environmental sustainability", promotes equipment energy conservation, green electricity procurement and other measures in the Ya Tung Department Store building, and actively promotes LEED international green building certification from 2023 to create an office environment that meets green building certification standards. In addition, ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory and air conditioning host replacement project have been implemented. The excellent performance of reducing electricity consumption by 466632 kWh in 2023 compared to 2022, with an energy saving rate of 9.4% and a carbon reduction of 230 metric tons, has been highly recognized by the judges.

        The "2024 Taipei Zero Carbon Benchmark Award" has added new scoring items for energy creation and storage equipment, as well as improvement of existing energy-saving and carbon reduction equipment, self-management, and other projects. The performance of participating units in terms of greenhouse gas emissions and reduction ratios, future carbon reduction goals and plans, short -, medium -, and long-term plans will be specifically listed as the focus of the evaluation, and a comprehensive assessment will be conducted.
