                Far Eastern New Century Corporation connects production sites and local communities through educational activities

        Starting from 2022, Far Eastern New Century Corporation has collaborated with the social enterprise "Environmentally Friendly Seed Co., Ltd." to develop a school promotion course on the theme of "Recycled Economy" called "Circular Magic to Change the World". Far Eastern New Century Corporation fully bears the cost of course development and implementation, with primary schools near Taoyuan and Hsinchu production sites as priority promotion targets. As of mid December 2024, 96 sessions have been held, with a total of 5406 teachers and students participating.

        The course design is set in a magical world, where students learn the concept of recycled economy through card games and group discussions. The instructor then guides and shares practical application cases of recycled economy, allowing students to deeply understand the limited resources and the benefits of resource recycling on the environment. Students are encouraged to implement recycled economy in their daily lives, reduce resource waste through behavior changes, and lower the threat of waste to the environment.

        As the first telecom operator to focus on the recycling and reuse of discarded fabric strips in stores, Far EasTone Telecommunication has teamed up with the social design brand "Story Wear" to launch an innovative eco-friendly fashion project, which involves remaking waste fabric strips into fashionable items such as backpacks and brooms. These items will be presented as guest gifts, employee spring wine gifts, or user new device purchase gifts for the second time at Taipei Fashion Week. The aforementioned eco-friendly and recycled fashion items are all produced by the "Xuanyi New Knowledge Care Association" composed of parents of children with cerebral palsy, helping to improve the economic situation and promote social integration.
