Asian Light Yuan Ze University's technological strength has been recognized in four major competitions

 Georgia Tech, a top engineering university in the United States, will hold the "Global Technology Strategy and Talent Development" Summit Forum and the first "Asian Innovation and Creativity Competition" in December 2024, bringing together top student teams from Asia to provide innovative solutions to global geopolitical and economic challenges, Yuan Ze University is not only the only Taiwanese representative team to advance to the finals, but also won the first place honor.
In addition, Professor Xu Yihuai from the Department of Information Engineering at Yuan Ze University guided a student team to showcase their work on "Optimal Resource Allocation under Joint Communication and Sensing" and "Optimal NOMA Resource Allocation under Metaverse Wireless Communication" at the "TANET 2024 Taiwan Internet Symposium", winning two "Best Paper Awards" in the fields of mobile computing and network communication; Professor Sun Tianlong from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management guided students to participate in TSMC's "2024 IMC DAY" competition. In response to the theme of "Dialogue with AI - Advanced Prompt Engineering Challenge", they designed and optimized prompt words for the Large Language Model (LLM) and achieved excellent results with one silver and one bronze, demonstrating outstanding research capabilities.
The School of Electrical Engineering and Communication has collaborated across fields, led by Dean Professor Chen Dunyu and the YZU MISLab team, in partnership with Dr. Guo Guanhong, Chief of the Imaging Medicine Department at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, to develop an acute appendicitis diagnosis system assisted by artificial intelligence. The system has won the "Smart Medical and Health Technology Research Innovation Award" at the 21st National Innovation Award.
