ITEX 2025 Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology 2 Gold and 2 Silver Exhibitions Research and Development Energy

        The 36th International Invention, Innovation&Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2025) was grandly held from May 29th to 31st. Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology, together with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Far EasTone Telecommunications, and the technical team under Far Eastern Group, participated in the exhibition and won 2 gold and 2 silver awards. The participating students interacted with international judges in English, demonstrating excellent communication skills and professional competence, once again establishing the international reputation of Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology.

        Under the guidance of Professor Wu Huaigui, Professor Li Jiannan, and Lecturer Chen Weidi from the Department of Electronic Engineering, a team consisting of students Lv Yuchen, Lin Xianglin, Chen Yishuo, and Huang Yanqun won two gold medals in the field of smart healthcare for their works in "Post Injury Movement Monitoring System and Monitoring Method" and "Remote AI Voiceprint Detection and Medical Patient Relationship Improvement System for Chronic Respiratory Disease". Among them, the "Post Injury Movement Monitoring System and Monitoring Method" is a collaboration between the team and Dr. Huang Zhaojun from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital's Rehabilitation Department. It integrates electrocardiogram (ECG) and image capture technology to monitor the movements and heart rate changes of rehabilitation patients in real time, assisting medical staff in accurately evaluating and tracking treatment effectiveness, and demonstrating the innovative value of Collaboration between Industry and School in clinical applications; The "Remote AI Voiceprint Detection and Medical Patient Relationship Improvement System for Chronic Respiratory Disease" was jointly developed by the Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology team, Far EasTone Telecommunications team, and Dr. Zheng Shilong from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital's thoracic medicine department. Through AI voiceprint recognition technology, non-invasive lung health analysis can be performed to predict the condition in real time and provide remote diagnosis and treatment recommendations, providing efficient care solutions for patients with chronic diseases such as asthma, demonstrating the forward-looking application of AI technology in smart healthcare.

        In addition, the "Human Perception Training System and Method" developed by Professor Lai Jinlun from the Department of Communication Engineering and Professor Zhang Yumei from the Department of Nursing under the cross domain guidance of students Deng Quanxiang and Luo Yuanzhi, combined with VR immersive simulation and personalized parameter adjustment mechanism, effectively enhances body perception and coordination ability, and can be widely applied in military, sports training, and rehabilitation fields. It was selected as a silver medal award. The other silver medal project, the "Automatic Fruit Picking Vehicle" system, was jointly guided by Professor Huang Xianfeng from the Department of Information Management and alumni from the Department of Electronic Engineering to students Chen Yujia, Li Yide, Li Junwei, Yang Shaowei, Wu Mingzhe, Su Yuandao, and Huang Shengqi. The system combines robotic arms, image recognition, and automatic navigation technology to effectively improve fruit identification and picking efficiency, and is an innovative breakthrough in the field of smart agriculture.

        During the exhibition, Ambassador Ye Feibi from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia specially visited the Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology exhibition area to comfort the participating teachers and students, and carefully listened to the introduction of various research and development works. He highly affirmed and encouraged the students' performance and the team's achievements in the fields of smart healthcare and AI innovation.
