Asia Cement Corporation's Hualien plant wins Taiwan's first cement industry model environmental protection personnel award

        Director Shen Zhiwei of the Environmental Protection Department at Asia Cement Corporation's Hualien plant has been awarded the title of "Model Environmental Protection Specialist of 2025" by the Ministry of Environment for his outstanding professional performance and long-term contributions to environmental protection. He is not only the first person in Taiwan's cement industry, but also the first environmental pioneer in the Yihua East region to receive this recognition.

        Under the dedicated promotion of Director Shen Zhiwei, the factory not only significantly reduced air pollutants through upgrading bag filters and adding SNCR systems, but also obtained international certification for "ISO 46001 Water Resource Efficiency Management" to improve water recycling and reuse. In addition, it actively responded to the recycled economy and successfully converted 2.13 million tons of process by-products and waste into alternative fuels in the past five years, achieving remarkable results.
