Yuan Ze University team wins gold medal in 'Open Polymer Prediction 2025'

        After winning the Google International Competition championship in 2024, the School of Electrical and Communication Engineering at Yuan Ze University once again showcased its strength on the international artificial intelligence stage this year. Led by Professor Chen Dunyu, the dean, the research team won the gold medal in the globally renowned machine learning challenge "NeurIPS - Open Polymer Prediction 2025".

        This competition is jointly organized by top AI conference NeurIPS and Google Kaggle platform. The participating team from Yuan Ze University designed a deep learning model with graph neural network (GNN) and molecular feature engineering as the core, and integrated Morgan molecular fingerprints and statistical features. Through ensemble learning and cross validation, the prediction accuracy was improved, achieving a balanced performance in five different material property evaluations. This achievement shows that Yuan Ze University has accumulated long-term investment in cross disciplinary applications of AI and is at the forefront of the international community.
