Craftsmanship forged in ordinariness
Far Eastern Textile Industry (Shanghai) / Chen Hua

Time flies, it has been some years since I joined the Far Eastern Group family. I shuttle through the factory workshop every day, with the familiar roar of machines in my ears and the busy and focused figures of my colleagues in front of me. I used to think that this daily labor was all about work, until that discussion with the old master, like throwing a stone into a lake, caused ripples in my heart, giving me a brand new and profound understanding of the word 'work'. It was an ordinary afternoon when I had just finished inspecting the production line of the aggregation department. The equipment was running smoothly and the quality was normal. I was about to sit down and enjoy a pleasant afternoon tea when Mr. Yang from the workshop passed by. He stopped and carefully observed the surveillance footage before heading to the scene and found an iron rod inserted into the CPFB VENT port.
Chen Hua, this stick is easy to fork in, but it's difficult to get it out by ordinary means! "Master Yang shook his head and said.
I was stunned and surprised. This operation was like this a long time ago, why did it suddenly change again? What impact and consequences would it have if I changed back to the previous operation without anyone notifying me? And how did he know about these subtle changes and discover them in a timely manner?
Master Yang seemed to see through my thoughts, straightened up, smiled, and pointed at the iron rod. "In the past, we used the high temperature of the flame lamp to melt the material inside, allowing the iron rod to flow out naturally. But now open flames are prohibited in the factory, and it can only be cleaned physically. If the iron rod is left at this pipe mouth, it will cause an incalculable amount of work
At that moment, I was deeply shocked. In my eyes, this is just an ordinary and unremarkable operation; But in Master Yang's heart, it is a book full of the author's emotional journey. What he possesses has far exceeded the operating standards, but rather a kind of "craftsmanship" that integrates bone and blood and engages in dialogue with machines.
What is craftsmanship? In the past, I thought it was the patent of masters carving timeless treasures, far away from our ordinary positions. But Master Yang has shown me through his actions that craftsmanship is hidden in every ordinary position. It doesn't necessarily have to create earth shattering achievements, but rather a reverence for 'standards', a persistence in' details', and a pursuit of 'perfection'.
It pursues a fish scale pattern that is not only firm but also uniform and beautiful during welding; When entering data, double check to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency; It is the patience of repeatedly scrutinizing for a more precise wording when writing a report; It is the 'meticulous calculation' of not letting go of any potential hazards during safety inspections.
This craftsmanship stems from responsibility, as every process condition in our hands controls the quality of raw materials; Every set of data processed is related to the final quality of the product and the reputation of the enterprise, as well as the safety and experience of remote users. This responsibility cannot tolerate any perfunctory attitude.
This kind of craftsmanship stems from passion. Only by truly loving one's job can one find joy in it, actively explore, optimize, and surpass it, and turn a monotonous job into a proud career.
This kind of craftsmanship belongs to inheritance. At Far Eastern Group, I often see young employees gathered around experienced mentors to seek advice, and I can also see technical experts sharing their experiences without reservation. This atmosphere of "passing on, helping, and leading" allows valuable experience and rigorous style to be passed down, allowing the fire of craftsmanship to continue to grow.
The vision of the group is to become a leading enterprise in the Asia Pacific region, and this grand goal is not a castle in the air, but built on the ingenuity upheld by each Far Eastern in their respective positions. We use millions of ultimate perseverance to jointly uphold the excellence and glory of the enterprise.
I write these words just to share the most genuine impact. May we all guard against arrogance and impatience, like Master Yang, honing our skills in daily life and accumulating ingenuity over time. As long as everyone can treat their work as a work of art and meticulously craft it, the power we gather will surely propel the Far Eastern Group towards a wider sea of stars.
