Far Eastern Memorial Hospital creates a one-stop cross specialty breast cancer care platform and a sustainable precision medicine platform

        Breast cancer has been ranked first in the incidence of cancer among women in Taiwan for many years, but modern women often delay seeking medical treatment due to busy work schedules. In order to enable patients to complete examinations, diagnoses, and treatments in the shortest possible time, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital established a breast medicine center in November 2025, upgrading imaging equipment and expanding cross disciplinary integrated one-stop outpatient services. From mammography and ultrasound examinations to pathological testing and treatment arrangements, all can be completed in the same space, greatly reducing patients' waiting time and alleviating psychological pressure.

        In addition, the hospital has also partnered with Microsoft Taiwan and ATGENOMIX to create the "Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) Precision Medicine Sustainable Platform", becoming the first medical center in Taiwan to put its core gene sequencing system on the cloud. Through high-speed computing and analysis of massive genetic data in the cloud, it helps physicians accurately grasp patient health risks and opens up a new era of digital healthcare in Taiwan.
