        The Information Software Services Industry Association (TISSA) held its first "Taiwan AI Excellence Award" ceremony on September 1st. Far EasTone Telecommunication won the "AI Industry Application Innovation" award with its "Smart Joint Pole/Hub" solution, becoming the only telecommunications industry winner. It demonstrated its outstanding achievements in long-term use of Big Data+AI+IoT (Big Data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT)) technology to assist the public sector in promoting smart governance and sustainability development.

        The "AI Industry Application Innovation" in the "Taiwan AI Excellence Award" aims to recognize innovative cases of AI technology successfully implemented in various industrial fields. Far EasTone Telecommunication's smart shared pole and smart hub solutions have high integration capabilities and can be widely applied to urban streets, tourist attractions, industrial parks, and diverse public areas. Combined with lighting, energy management, environmental monitoring, transportation applications, and multimedia billboards, the collected environmental data is integrated into the government's cross bureau data center to assist transportation, environmental protection, and other departments in grasping real-time information, improving governance efficiency, and serving as a decision-making basis for municipal governance. Through a new business model that connects surrounding areas, AI technology is accelerated to be implemented in urban governance.

        Starting from the end of 2025, Far EasTone Telecommunication will establish 10 sets of smart poles in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei City, integrating multidimensional information such as pedestrian flow, air quality, lighting, and energy management. It will also provide value-added services such as AR photo check-in, gaming, map guidance, and bilingual guidance for visiting tourists; At the same time, it connects the shops in the park with nearby venues such as Taipei Arena and department stores, and expands the commercial benefits and application scope of the smart hub through advertising guidance and diversified marketing cooperation. As of the end of July 2026, the smart hub services of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park have accumulated over 1.5 million visits.

        Through the demonstration site of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and other successful experiences, Far EasTone Telecommunication has established a scalable and replicable smart governance model. In the future, customized services can be introduced according to the needs of each city to drive sustainable urban transformation.
