充满挑战的海外商务旅行

　　对于许多人来说，「海外出差」绝对是新奇又充满挑战的工作经验。除了基本的语言沟通能力，还必须适当了解当地文化，才能一路畅行。本期「英文小教室」为您示范行前应该如何准备？如何向同事或前辈徵询相关建议？祝福大家在遥远的他乡都能沟通无碍。

Sample Dialogue（情境范例）

Sandra：What are you reading, Mark？（Mark，你在看什么？）

Mark：Hotel information and a book about travel etiquette in foreign countries.（我在看饭店资讯和一本跟海外旅游礼仪须知相关的书。）

Sandra：Are you going somewhere？（你要去哪里？）

Mark：I’m taking a business trip to the US in three days.（三天后我要去美国出差。）

Sandra：Where to？（去哪个城市？）

Mark：I’m going to visit our offices in the US. I’ll be in Seattle for a week, then fly to Boston to attend the annual sales conference.（我要去美国的几个分公司。先到西雅图一週，再飞往波士顿参加年度业务会议。）

Sandra：That should be fun and interesting.（听起来很有趣耶。）

Mark：Have you been there？（妳之前去过吗？）

Sandra：Many times! I used to visit our offices abroad every year before I was transferred to Taipei.（去过很多次！在调职到台北之前，我每年经常出差到海外分公司。）

Mark：Do you have any tips for me？I only have a few days to get ready.（妳有没有小秘诀可以提供给我？我只剩下几天可以准备了。）

Sandra：Of course. The U.S.A. is what they call a salad bowl; you’ll be amazed how multicultural and diverse it is. It will be a great experience for you.（当然！美国就是他们说的沙拉碗，接纳各种文化，并为每个文化都保留了空间，很像在一个大碗里搅拌沙拉，全拌在一起，但每样东西都保留得很完整。你会惊艷于它的多元文化及多样性。这对你来说将会是一次很棒的经验。）
