Free digital literacy course by FET was organized in campus "Reverse education and let love spread"

        In order to continuously promote innovative education and enhance the technological knowledge of students in the rural areas, FET has launched a free course on "digital literacy - how to stop 3C addiction" with schools this year. The activity venues were full and well received by parents, teachers and students!

        The free course "digital literacy: how to stop 3C addiction" enabled students to play the role of time-space detective to solve the causes and effects of 3C addiction, and aroused students' enthusiasm for learning by means of game interaction. The activity highlighted the parent-child conflicts caused by improper use of 3C products in the family, and guided parents and students how to resolve them, hoping to establish a communication model between children and parents on the reasonable use of 3C products through the activity, and make changes in daily life.

        In addition to concerns about the issue of "3C addiction", FET also continues to strive to improve the digital experience of school children in the rural areas. FET president Chee Ching led senior supervisors and staff, and t AI volunteer "little fox" and "Xiaoai" to Bin Mao High School in Taimali, Taitung. Through the smart speaker, they helped the middle school students in rural area to understand "big data + AI + IOT" (big data, artificial intelligence and Internet of things (IOT) applications of science and technology. With game based interactive learning, it stimulated students' learning motivation and gave them the warmest companionship. FET president Chee Ching said: "the learning resources for children in rural areas are no better than those in metropolitan areas, so how to enhance children's willingness and interest in learning is more important. I'm very happy to be able to experience scientific and technological applications of the smart speaker with my colleagues through edutainment. AI smart speaker enables multiple learning such as English translation, listening to music or playing audio books with voice commands. It is expected that different learning methods can increase students' interest in learning, arouse their interest in big data, artificial intelligence and Internet of things (IOT), and improve their digital literacy. "

        This year, "Reverse education and let love spread" project focuses on digital literacy. Through games and competition, students from rural areas can learn about the "big data + AI + IOT". At the Bin Mao High School in Taimali, Taitung, volunteers introduced the evolution of artificial intelligence in simple terms. In order to increase learning fun, volunteers also encouraged students to have interesting interactive questions and answers with AI volunteer assistant "little fox" through practical operation. The students who participated in the course answered questions conscientiously and were full of creativity, the volunteers also encouraged children from rural areas to be enthusiastic about e-Learning!
