Asia Eastern University of science and technology, the only private university of science and technology, won the "2021 future technology award"

        The list of winners of the "future science and Technology Award" jointly organized by the Ministry of science and technology, Academia Sinica, Ministry of education, Ministry of health and welfare was announced on September 6. Asia Eastern University of science and technology became the only private university of science and technology to win the award with the "immersive virtual reality emergency care situation simulation system".

        In order to realize Taiwan's vision of "innovation, inclusiveness and sustainability" in 2030, Ministry of science and technology and Ministry of education, Academia Sinica and Ministry of health and welfare jointly built the "future science and Technology Museum" in Taiwan Innotech Expo, and handled the 2021 "future science and Technology Award" to collect relevant subsidized technologies for display. Associate Professor Zhang Yumei of Asia Eastern University of science and Technology Department of nursing and Associate Professor Lai Jinlun of Communication Engineering Department considered that medical training was limited by time and space, manpower, hardware equipment and consumables, Therefore, the "immersive virtual reality emergency care situation simulation system" was established through cross domain cooperation. The system has the characteristics of intuitive operation, full automation, repeated implementation, high training intensity and good efficiency. In addition, the cost is relatively low, and the open-source image recognition database using OpenCV is transplanted to the unity platform, which can copy and stream the content and functions, and has the remote real-time broadcast and display function, which is very suitable for the needs of remote and professional operation at this stage.
