The system uses two Gogoro smart batteries as backup power for the traffic signal, and with the exclusive and innovative power changing UPS design, it can maintain power in case of abnormal power supply and ensure the normal operation of Traffic light. Through the monitoring platform developed by Far EasTone Telecommunications, you can also instantly view battery supply status, receive abnormal notifications, and other information. At the beginning of June, 25 intersections in the first phase were completed, and the construction of the second phase project is currently accelerating, including high power consuming intersections such as Keelung and Pingtung, and Keelung Roosevelt, committed to improving urban traffic safety and grid resilience.

The information collected by the system will be uploaded to the cloud monitoring platform via the "WVPN Internet of things (IoT) security communication", and Visualization will be displayed on the dashboard integrating GIS maps. Once abnormal conditions are detected, the system will automatically warn, assist managers to quickly grasp the information about intersections, electricity, events, etc., ensure the safety of intersections in an all-round way, and also avoid traffic congestion and vehicle idling resulting in a large amount of carbon emissions, Accelerate the realization of a net zero smart city.
