        The Ministry of the Interior of the Executive Yuan launched the "Central Expansion Rent Subsidy Project" with a budget of NTD 30 billion in July 2022, providing individuals or families with a certain income or less and without their own homes with a maximum monthly rent subsidy of NTD 2000 to 8000 per household; And for married and vulnerable groups, additional subsidies will be provided.         1、 New and modified items for rental subsidy 2.0

        1. The age limit is relaxed, and renters aged 18 and above can apply.

        2. Application deadline extension, from 9:00 am on July 3, 2023 to 17:00 on December 31, 2024, available upon arrival.

        3. The Identity document number of the landlord is not required.

        4. Relax the scope of housing application, and those without data can be processed in a transitional manner.

        5. The old household directly extends the subsidy without the need to reapply.

        2、 Application conditions

                1. The applicant and family members do not have their own houses.

        2. The applicant and family members have not received any other assistance from the government related to housing.

        3. The average monthly income per person of family members should be three times lower than the minimum living expenses announced by the central and municipal social and economic authorities in the location of the leased property for the current year.

        Note 1: Income refers to the total amount of comprehensive income tax payments for family members in 2022 provided by the financial and tax authorities, including separate taxable income.

        Note 2: The average monthly income per person is calculated based on three times the minimum living expenses announced by the central and municipal social and political authorities for the year 2023.

        3、 Introduction to Rent Subsidy Quota

        The rental subsidy is divided into three levels based on the applicant's identity, and different counties and cities also provide different amounts:

        1. Level 1: Two or more family members with low-income status among them; Three or more family members, with middle to low income household status among them.

        2. Second level: Those who do not belong to the first and third levels.

        3. Third level: One family member who is under the age of 40 and does not have an economically or socially disadvantaged status.

                4、 Additive multiple

        According to the different identities of the applicant, the amount obtained by multiplying the upper limit obtained in the above table can be obtained. If both identities are met, a preferential subsidy will be given.

        1. New entrants (single under 35 years old): 1.2 times.

        2. Newly married families within two years of marriage: 1.3 times.

        3. Families with underage children (fetuses): subsidy of 1.4 times for one child, 1.6 times for two children, and 1.8 times for three children; For those who exceed three places, each place will increase by a multiple of 0.2, and so on.

        4. Economically disadvantaged (low-income households and middle and low income households): 1.4 times.

        5. Social vulnerability (families in special circumstances, people with Disability, people over 65 years old, indigenous people, etc.): 1.2 times.

        5、 Application method and consultation hotline

                1. Online application: Online application website of the Construction and Planning Agency NTD 30 billion central expanded rent subsidy.

        2. Mailing application: download the application form and mail it to the municipality directly under the Central Government, county (city) government or the Construction and Planning Agency of the Ministry of the Interior where the leased house is located.

        3. Temporary container application: Go to the government of the directly administered city or county (city) where the lease is located for processing.

        4. Application for bringing in old cases: Those who have been approved for the year 2022 and have a record of rent subsidy allocation in May 2023 will be directly brought in by the system and do not need to apply again.
