Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Corporation has specially participated in the Taiwan AI Academy's Continuous Manufacturing Manager Training Course to enhance the AI skills of supervisors at all levels and enhance the company's competitive advantage.
 This AI training course was attended by various departments, district offices, and factory supervisors of Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Corporation headquarters, demonstrating the company's determination to strengthen the team's AI intelligence.
The course starts in February this year and lasts for 14 weeks. It is held every Thursday at the Academia Sinica National Biotechnology Research Park, inviting experts and scholars from top universities, research institutions, private enterprises, and other fields to give lectures. Considering that the students are all over Taiwan, the organizer has arranged for physical and remote video communication methods with great care. Every trained supervisor strives to overcome busy work, and the President is a must attend and attentive speaker, inspiring the entire team.
The training course content is extremely rich, covering the following four main aspects:
Basic knowledge: Introduce the basic concepts and principles of artificial intelligence, help students understand related technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, etc.
Theoretical framework: Learn the theoretical framework and operational methods of AI, including data analysis, model building, algorithms, etc.
Application areas: Exploring the practical applications of AI in various fields such as natural language processing, image recognition, and machine vision can help participants plan how to apply AI technology in the future.
AI Industrialization Innovation Competition: Using an innovation competition model, students are divided into 7 groups. Each group proposes AI solutions based on actual problems or pain points in various fields such as production, operation, and sales within the company, showcasing their learning outcomes. For example, controlling the impact of water on concrete during the manufacturing process, predicting the strength and slump of concrete; Accurate shipment estimation and digitization of the most economical raw material reserves; Intelligent scheduling of pre mixed trucks; Integration of AI information on transportation and delivery of pre mixed plants; Artificial intelligence system for sand and gravel feeding system in pre mixed concrete plant, etc.
Prior to this, Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Corporation had imported the ISO 27001 information security management system, used Power BI for EIS operational information management system, used Power Automation to drive RPA solutions, built a quality management app, used Smart Rock to monitor concrete temperature and strength, used Google Doc for CRM and occupational safety management, and used SEM for keyword marketing. For participants in this course, not only will they acquire basic AI knowledge, but they will also have a common language and discuss each other's needs with AI digital engineers in the process of promoting various digital transformation projects in the future, accelerating the implementation of projects; For companies, AI technology can also be used to gradually optimize various operational procedures, improve efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage.
