Far EasTone Telecommunications: "Taiwan International Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) Exhibition"

        The 2023 AIoT Taiwan International Exhibition on Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) will be held from October 25th to 27th. Far EasTone Telecommunications collaborates with Cloud Computing&IoT Association in Taiwan to showcase multiple AIoT applications, including UPS, smart intersections, and smart charging service solutions, which have helped multiple county and city governments improve urban traffic safety and grid resilience.

        Among them, the "Traffic Signal Continuous Power Supply System" uses smart batteries as backup power for intersection signals, combined with an exclusive and innovative battery swapping UPS design, which can maintain power in case of abnormal power supply, ensuring the normal operation of traffic signals. Through the Far EasTone Telecommunications self-developed monitoring platform, the system can also instantly view battery status, receive abnormal notifications and other information. This year, the system has been introduced to 187 intersections in Taipei City.

        Another highlight of "Smart Intersection" is the combination of 5G and C-V2X technology, which can assist in driving collision warning at intersections and corners, provide pedestrian warning, reduce accident rates, and assist the Taoyuan Municipal Transportation Bureau in completing 27 "intersection protection warning systems" and 5 "pedestrian crossing warning systems". The cumulative number will become the largest in Taiwan, thereby reducing the driving speed of drivers and improving the safety of road users.
