Yuan Ze University's Global Program stands out and wins the Talent Learning Role Model Award

        Yuan Ze University has shown outstanding performance in practicing social responsibility, and the "Global Cultural Navigation" deep cultivation program has won high praise for its pioneering power. It stood out among a total of 171 entries from 54 universities in Taiwan and was awarded the Outstanding Program "Model Award" at the 5th USR University Social Responsibility Award in 2024 by Foresight.

        Professor Huang Yulan, the host of the project, stated that "Global Cultural Navigation" originated from spontaneous small-scale activities and has been recognized for its growth year by year. In 2020, it became a budding USR project, and in 2023, it was upgraded to a deep cultivation type, promoting bilingual education, international education, digital companion learning, special education art, etc. for local and rural areas. In this issue, Huanyu Yingyue Exhibition Age has been added, designing English courses for elderly people in the neighborhood to develop their ability to learn in reverse age.

        The number of works competing for awards this year has reached a new high in five years, with fierce competition and an award rate of only 19.9%, demonstrating the importance that various sectors attach to university social responsibility programs. Among them, the jury believes that the Universal Plan will include foreign students on campus, allowing them to receive Mandarin speaking training, briefings, and teaching skills, and to share the customs and cultural characteristics of different countries in cooperation venues. Yuan Ze University not only leverages the foreign language advantages of foreign students, but also allows them to integrate into Taiwanese society and be creative.

        The Universal Plan takes pride in shouldering social responsibility and serving the local population. Teachers and students will continue to uphold the spirit of "educating together and nurturing the future" and work together to make every field and rural area the most beautiful place.
