Far Eastern Memorial Hospital grandly hosts the 2024 Smart Medical Materials Matchmaking Exchange Conference

        Given the rapid development of smart healthcare and artificial intelligence applications, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, in collaboration with the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Industrial Technology Research Institute, held the "2024 Smart Medical Materials Matchmaking Exchange Conference - AI Empowerment and Co creation of Smart Hospitals" on May 2. Representatives from various sectors such as industry, academia, research, and healthcare were invited to participate in the event, exchanging diverse thoughts on clinical applications and stimulating various possibilities of smart applications.

        Dr. Chiu, Dean Kuanming, pointed out that with the emergence of technologies such as telemedicine, 5G applications, generative AI, and ChatGPT, post pandemic medical technology applications have grown significantly. Far Eastern Memorial Hospital looks forward to collaborating with various institutions to keep the medical service field up-to-date.

        The activity will first be explained by Section Chief of the Artificial Intelligence Center to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital on how to use smart technology to solve clinical pain points in the wave of smart healthcare, while enhancing the overall digitalization and intelligent operation of the hospital. The keynote speeches also invited Far EasTone Telecommunications, Hon Hai Digital Health to share new trends in communication diagnosis and treatment methods in medical care, as well as the theme of smart healthcare cloud.

        In addition, to promote partner exchanges and cooperation in the smart healthcare industry chain, the conference invited Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Clinical Trial Center and Taipei Medical University Hospital Joint Clinical Trial Center to introduce the services, related processes, and examples provided by medical institutions in executing trial cases; Far Eastern Memorial Hospital's Department of Hepatobiliary and Gastroenterology also shared the clinical application of ulcerative endoscopy AI, as well as cooperation cases with smart hospitals. Xianjin Intelligence, Yukang Biotechnology, Yishou Technology, Yihua Biotechnology, and Shangzhiqi Artificial Intelligence departments have explained their solutions and cooperation intentions for smart innovative products.

        At the same time, a poster guide and matchmaking communication area will be planned on site, including displaying hospital clinical field projects, AI technology innovation and system integration, and providing regulatory consultation services for the Food and Drug Department. This will assist participants in understanding various solutions and promote efficient communication.
