Yuan Ze University New Taipei branch groundbreaking marks a new milestone in school development

        On January 30th, Yuan Ze University held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its New Taipei branch at its designated location in Linkou Campus. The base, built with an investment of over NTD 2.1 billion from Far Eastern Group, will become a cross domain talent cultivation hub that combines medical education and smart technology. It will also plan a day care center and health promotion services to fulfill the university's social responsibility.

        President Liao Qingrong pointed out that the New Taipei branch will serve as an important base for Yuan Ze University's School of Medicine and Health Care. In addition to providing the necessary space for expanding the medical and health related departments, it will also combine the school's strong foundation in information engineering and digital technology to develop AI diagnosis, telemedicine, and biomedical data analysis, deepen the cross domain integration of medical education and smart technology, and cultivate smart medical talents with forward-looking vision.

        In terms of campus planning, Yuan Ze University adheres to the concept of "innovation and sustainability", positioning the New Taipei branch as a "university in a park", preserving about 3000 ping of green space, and setting up a campus trail to share recreational space with citizens. At the same time, it connects with the nearby Linkou Sports Center to create a healthy living corridor. The campus also plans a Sunshine Center and a "Health Story Hall" to provide daytime care and health promotion services for the elderly, fulfilling the university's social responsibility (USR). In response to local concerns about transportation issues, the school has specially adopted a pedestrian vehicle separation design to demonstrate the intention of sharing prosperity with the community.

        The groundbreaking of the Yuan Ze University New Taipei branch not only symbolizes the expansion of the school's campus, but also an important action in response to Taiwan's entry into an aging society and the shortage of medical personnel. With the full support of Far Eastern Group and the integration of clinical resources from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Yuan Ze University will integrate the research and development capabilities of medical education and smart technology, complementing medical capacity with action, and creating a new model of intelligent medical education in Taiwan that combines technological depth and humanistic care.
