2163 graduates from Yuan Ze University spread their wings, Liao Qingrong emphasizes that 'AQ is better than IQ'

        On June 6th, Yuan Ze University held a grand graduation ceremony with the theme of "To be continued", symbolizing that graduation is not the end, but the starting point of a new chapter in life. This year, a total of 2163 graduates have completed their studies. President Liao Qingrong encourages graduates to cultivate not only IQ and EQ, but also AQ (AI Quotient), which means the ability to collaborate with AI to maintain a competitive advantage in a rapidly changing environment. He also wishes students to leverage their strengths and create their own future.

        Yuan Ze University has achieved remarkable results in recent years, with 100% full enrollment and a registration rate of 103.13% for the 2025 academic year, ranking first among all public and private universities in Taiwan; In the 2026 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, it also entered the 176th place in Asia, ranking among the top 200.

        When it comes to the development trend of AI, President Liao pointed out that although AI will replace some repetitive work, it will also create more demand for advanced technology and cross domain talents. What is truly irreplaceable in the future is the ability to integrate AI into professional fields. Therefore, students in engineering, management, or humanities and social fields should possess AI application skills and programming thinking. Yuan Ze University is the first university in Taiwan to make "AI programming languages" a mandatory requirement. We hope that students can not only use AI tools, but also understand their principles and make good use of AI to solve problems and create value.

        This year's ceremony specially invited Lu Zhiyuan, Chairman of Xinquan Technology Group, as a guest of honor.         In addition, Yuan Ze University has long promoted international education, with a total of 240 international students graduating this year from countries such as Vietnam, India, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Saint Lucia, and Saudi Arabia. Among them, Chen Yueqiang, an alumnus from Vietnam and current head of FCT Yongsheng Co., Ltd., has become a representative case of Yuan Ze University's international education achievements. He enrolled in Yuan Ze University's EMBA program for studying abroad in Vietnam in 2019. After graduation, he was deeply moved by his alma mater's educational philosophy and encouraged his children to come to Taiwan for education.

        In 2022, his son Chen Deming enrolled in the Bachelor's English program at Yuan Ze University's School of Management, during which he went to Germany for exchange studies. This year, he was successfully admitted to the Finance R&D Center at National Taiwan University; In 2024, daughter Chen Mingzhu also chose to attend Yuan Ze University among multiple university admissions and scholarship opportunities. A family of three has successively become members of Yuan Ze University, showcasing the school's educational quality and international reputation.
