日常、职场用语大不同 你说对了吗？

日常英语会话与商用英语有很大的不同，一般来说，商用英语的用词需要更正式。本期介绍工作中常用的词汇，只要运用得宜，就能提升专业形象。
1. 日常用语“think of/about”（想一想） vs. 职场用语“Consider”（思考／考量）或“deliberate”（谨慎考虑／仔细讨论）
e.g.:
● I will think about your proposal.（我会想一想你的企划。）
√ I will consider your proposal, give me a few days to look into the details before I approve it.（我会思考一下你的企划，给我几天时间研究细节再批示。）
√ We have been deliberating an entire month on this project, are we any closer to making a final decision?（我们已经花一整个月仔细讨论这个案子，可以做最后决定了吗？）
2. 日常用语“think (something/someone) is”（觉得某人／事）vs. 职场用语“believe (something/someone) is”（相信或对某人／事抱持信心）或是“consider (something/someone) to be”（认为某人／事具备）
e.g.:
● I think Johnson is one of the best …（我觉得Johnson是最好的…）
√ I believe Johnson is one of the best engineers in our team.（我相信Johnson是我们团队中最优秀／最有能力的工程师。）
√ I consider Johnson to be one of the best engineers in our team. （我认为Johnson是我们团队中最优秀／最有能力的工程师。）
3. 日常用语“make”（做／安排／着手进行…等）vs. 职场用语“create” (concept, image, design) （创造／发明／发想），或”develop ”(ideas, solution, plan, strategy, etc.)（开发／发展／使…形成）
e.g.:
● We are making…（我们在进行…）
√ We are creating a new training procedure for the newcomers.（我们在为公司新人训练创造新的学习流程。）
√ Can we create a new image for the product?（我们可以发想新的产品形象吗？）
√ Our engineering team is developing a new solution to transfer our data to a new platform.（我们的工程团队正在开发一个新的解决方案，届时会将大数据置于全新的平台上。）
√ They are developing an economical marketing plan that will attract more potential buyers.（他们正在发展新的经济行销计画，以利吸引更多潜在买家进行消费。）
4. 日常用语“guess”（猜想）vs. 职场用语“predict”（预测／预报）或“estimate”（估计／评估）
e.g.:
● It is hard to guess（很难猜想）
√ Economy experts are predicting the significant changes to the global economy during the pandemic.（经济学者专家们预测疫情期间全球经济将发生重大的改变。）
√ It is difficult to estimate the financial impact of the pandemic on companies.（难以估计疫情对各企业的财务影响。）
