OIT celebrated 52nd anniversary and held the achievement exhibition of collaboration between industry and school

        On October 17, the Oriental Institute of Technology held its anniversary celebration, inviting Chairman Douglas Hsu of Far Eastern Group, Peter Hsu, deputy chairman of Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Xu Guomei, director of Oriental Institute of Technology, Shaw y. Wang, executive director of Far Eastern New Century Corporation, and Shu-Hsun Chu, FE Medical Foundation Vice Chairman and other distinguished guests to participate in the grand event, and held achievement exhibition in Yu-Ziang science and technology building, and exhibited 10 works of collaboration between school and affiliated enterprises of FEG, including Asia Cement Corporation, Yuanchuang, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Telecommunications and Intelligent Transport Technology Development Foundation, FET, etc.

        Chairman Douglas Hsu said: Mr. Yu-Ziang Hsu, founder of the group, attached great importance to talent cultivation. 52 years ago, in order to promote the popularization of education in Taiwan, he established the Oriental Institute of Technology. Today, we should recognize that there are ups and downs in the road to the world, and he encouraged teachers and students to cultivate confidence with correct thinking logic to meet the challenges in the future.

        In addition, OIT has been cooperating with affiliated enterprises of FEG for a long time in collaboration between industry and school, providing teachers with practical projects, production and learning plans and excellent internship environment for students. This year, in conjunction with the school celebration, OIT held the achievement exhibition of collaboration between industry and school. Through the actual experience of “3D VR navigation system”, distinguished guests can better understand the school's promotion of collaboration between industry and school and cross disciplinary group research, cultivation of excellent basic research personnel, and then encourage the comprehensive development of various fields.

        In the future, OIT will continue to encourage teachers and students to participate in collaboration between industry and school and technological research and development, so as to make the school a solid backing for technology research and development in the industry, and promote the win-win opportunities for the OIT and the group affiliated enterprises.
