        FET assisted Taoyuan Municipal Government Water Bureau to build "sewer cloud Internet of things (IOT) intelligent monitoring system" with "big data + AI + IOT (big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of things (IOT))" and won 2020 Cloud Computing & IOT Innovation Award- Excellent Application Award of Cloud Computing & IOT Association in Taiwan.         "Sewer cloud Internet of things (IOT) intelligent monitoring system" combines FET NB-IoT sensing device and GIS geographic information.         With the global climate change, extreme rainfall has become the normality. Last year, a disastrous rainfall with the maximum hourly rainfall of 133.5mm occurred in Longtan District of Taoyuan city. In the past, the drainage system was limited by manual notification, so it was not easy to collect information, which was not conducive to the preparation and response. But now, Taoyuan Municipal Government Water Bureau worked with FET to build the sewer cloud Internet of things (IOT) intelligent monitoring system, which can help to have a comprehensive command of the rainwater and sewers, perform pipeline maintenance, report on rainfall and sewerage operations and provide the query of the Water Resource Recycling Center by app. In addition, this system combines with the image collection of the road flooding monitoring station, through big data analysis and AI image recognition, it initiated integration of water level of virtual water gauge and tire water level interpretation, provides real-time and accurate monitoring and prediction of accumulated flood height, which not only assists in decision-making and response before and during disasters and study and judgment of causes after disaster, but also can send disaster warning information to the public through app, so as to achieve effective disaster prevention and mitigation.
