Oriental Institute of Technology changed its name to Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology

        Oriental Institute of Technology was founded by FEG in October 1968, formerly known as the "private Oriental industries Technical College", which was the first private secondary school in Taiwan; In June 1973, it was renamed as "private Oriental school; In 2000, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and renamed as "Oriental Institute of Technology"; In 2021, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and renamed as " Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology" from August 1.

        Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology takes information and communication, health care and textile industry as the main development fields and takes "innovation, creativity, creation, maker and entrepreneurship" as the development characteristics, hoping to achieve the school goal of integrating talent cultivation and industrial R & D. At present, the university has two campuses. Among them, the main campus is located at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Station of Taipei metro Bannan Line. It is close to Tpark, Google building, New Taipei Library and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, which takes advantage of the geography; In 2021, a collaboration between industry and school, which is known as innovation building was built in Danshui campus.

        After being renamed  as “Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology”, with the spirit of "honesty, diligence, simplicity, prudence and innovation", the school will continue to develop as the industrial applied university with the combination of technology and humanities, innovation and quality, professional and general knowledge, theory and practice.
