Ya Tung ready mixed concrete Corporation won the carbon label of ready mixed concrete products issued by the environmental protection administration of the Executive Yuan

        With the rise of environmental awareness, the environmental protection administration of the Executive Yuan began to promote Taiwan's carbon labeling mechanism in 2009 to make the sources of carbon emissions at all stages of products transparent, so as to encourage enterprises to accelerate green transformation, strengthen brand goodwill, enhance consumers' purchase awareness, and realize the sustainable consumption and production mode of low-carbon economy.

        Ya Tung ready mixed concrete corporation, through many discussions with the ready mixed concrete industry and experts and scholars, and in accordance with the guidance of the Environmental Protection Administration Review Committee, formulated Taiwan's first version of "product category rules (PCR)", and the ready mixed concrete industry can apply for carbon labels according to the standards in the future. In addition, Ya Tung ready mixed concrete corporation also took the lead in Taiwan in May, and won the first carbon labels for four products of ready mixed concrete, namely, "the carbon emission of 4000psi general ratio is 320kg" and "the carbon emission of low carbon ratio is 240kg", reducing carbon by 25%; "The general proportion carbon emission of 5000PSI is 360kg" and "the low carbon proportion carbon emission is 260kg", reducing carbon by 28%. In the future, the public can clearly understand the carbon emission reduction information of ready mixed concrete as a reference index for construction operators and consumers to purchase.

        In addition, recently, the Hualien plant of Asia Cement Corporation has also independently developed and produced "Portland limestone cement (PLC)", which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 8% compared with ordinary cement, and has successfully won orders from the United States. At present, Asia Cement Corporation has applied to the Bureau of standards and inspection of the Ministry of economic affairs for the inclusion of new products in Taiwan's cns15286 hydraulic mixed cement standard to ensure international integration and accelerate the development of Taiwan's low-carbon cement.
