        Far Eastern Group shone brightly at the "Global Corporate Sustainability Forum and Joint Awards Ceremony" held on November 20th, winning a total of 33 awards including the TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award and GCSA Global Corporate Sustainability Awards, ranking first among all groups in Taiwan in terms of the number of awards received. Among them, 24 TCSA Sustainable Single Performance Awards were won, and 4 were ranked first in the group, making it the group with the most single awards, demonstrating its outstanding performance in ESG.

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation has won a total of 7 awards, including 6 TCSA Sustainability Single Performance Awards such as "Climate Leader," "Recycled Economy Leader," "Information Security Leader," "Innovation Growth Leader," "Talent Development Leader," and "Creative Communication Leader," as well as the GCSA Sustainability Report Award Best Achievement - Gold Award, demonstrating the company's continuous improvement in ESG performance and receiving high recognition from the judging experts. Far Eastern New Century Corporation accelerates its low-carbon transformation, deeply cultivates the recycled economy, converts waste into valuable goods, and uses research and development results to develop Wuhan Far Eastern New Material with environmentally friendly potential. Through green manufacturing and value chain cooperation, it establishes a circular and sustainable business model, aiming to achieve 50% carbon reduction, 50% green products, and 50% green raw materials by 2030, demonstrating a strong determination to reduce carbon emissions. In November 2024, it shared this successful experience with government representatives from various countries at the COP 29 conference and was rightfully awarded the first place in the TCSA single performance - "Climate Leader" group.

        Far EasTone Telecommunication has won 10 awards including the "Talent Development Leader Award," "Sustainable Supply Chain Leader Award," "Social Inclusion Leader Award," "Climate Leader Award," "Transparency and Integrity Leader Award," "Innovation and Growth Leader Award," "Recycled Economy Leader Award," "Information Security Leader Award," "Workplace Welfare Leader Award," and "Creative Communication Leader Award." Not only has it won the most awards in Taiwan for two consecutive years, but it has also been ranked first in its group for social inclusion, innovative growth, and talent development projects. Along with winning the Sustainability Reporting award at the GCSA Global Corporate Sustainability Awards, a total of 11 sustainability awards have been presented this time, and the promotion of sustainability action has been highly recognized. Given the insufficient medical resources in rural areas, Far EasTone Telecommunication has independently developed a 5G remote diagnosis and treatment platform, serving over 45000 people in 15 counties and cities across Taiwan. In addition, it has extended the construction of a "5G ambulance" and crossed the sea to Penghu and Lianjiang, supporting 10 counties and cities across Taiwan with over 1000 users, fully leveraging its core competitiveness and effectively solving social problems.

        Far Eastern Department Stores has won 4 TCSA individual performance awards and 2 GCSA awards for its six growth drivers: continuous store expansion, enhanced experience, digital transformation, innovative management, development of online shopping, and sustainable operation. In terms of employee care, the company has been promoting the "Employee Health UP" project for five consecutive years, including organizing 10 employee health actions such as health walks to reduce carbon emissions and health gathering points, creating a safe, warm, and healthy happy workplace, with a satisfaction rate of 95%. In addition, Far Eastern Department Stores, the oldest store in Taipei City, announced its reconstruction at the end of July 2023. In order to convey the design concept and memory inheritance of the future new Baoqing, a series of "Baoqing Heart Journey" activities were planned, combining online psychological tests and offline gratitude time trips. The activities were sold out and received widespread response and praise.

        FE SOGO Department stores promote various climate change mitigation and adaptation measures in accordance with international standards, and lead publicly quoted entities by introducing the TCFD Task Force on Climate related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), becoming a TCFD supporter, joining EP100, and advocating for the enhancement of international energy productivity. In 2024, leading the way in Taiwan's large-scale department stores, we signed the SBTi commitment letter and held the largest small-scale agricultural exhibition in Taiwan, supporting local small farmers and building the last mile road from production to shelves, reducing the carbon footprint generated by transportation, and enabling customers to achieve a low-carbon and green life without pain.

        Asia Cement Corporation

        Asia Cement Corporation has achieved its SBTi carbon reduction target for four consecutive years through the implementation of its climate transition plan, demonstrating a firm commitment to carbon reduction. In terms of the effectiveness of recycled economy, the company has cumulatively used 1.75 million tons of alternative raw materials and 135000 tons of alternative fuels, which come from multiple units such as photovoltaic plants, wastewater treatment plants, and steel plants. This not only significantly reduces the consumption of natural resources, but also improves the overall resource recycling efficiency of the industry, winning the GCSA Best Case Award.

        Yuan Ze University

        Yuan Ze University is characterized by innovative teaching and focused research, with a sustainable development campus that is innovative, diverse, intelligent, and humanistic, and a high-quality university with international reputation. In 2024, it applied for the "Taiwan Sustainable University Award" for the first time and was awarded the "Top Ten Sustainable Model Universities in Taiwan" and the "Silver Level Sustainability Report", demonstrating the school's outstanding achievements in governance, educational quality, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. Yuan Ze University has established a campus wide sustainable governance structure and mechanism, emphasizing internationalization and the importance of sustainability development. At the same time, it continues to replace energy-saving equipment, introduce ISO 50001 and ISO 14064-1 international certifications, and steadily move towards a diverse, intelligent, and humanistic sustainable campus, becoming an indicator university of high internationalization.

        Far Eastern Memorial Hospital collects discarded PET bottles from the hospital, recycles them into T-shirts, and commissions government approved medical waste plastic processing plants to recycle and reuse them into slippers and other products, winning the Recycled Economy Practice Award. The pioneering diaper recycling and remanufacturing program is also expected to be implemented.

        Everest Textile has taken the lead in implementing water resource management actions. In addition to implementing source diversion management based on the characteristics of process wastewater to improve wastewater recovery rates, it has established water recycling, cooling water recycling, condensate water recycling, and wastewater treatment reuse. It has introduced water-saving technologies and continuously trained employees to establish a positive water-saving culture, achieve reduction goals, and won the Water Resource Management Leader Award.
